17-Year-Old Nigeria Girl Crowned World’s Best in English at 2025 Global Finals in London

17-year-old Nafisa Abdullah Aminu, a student from Yobe State, has emerged as the world’s best in English language skills at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom.

Nafisa, who represented Nigeria through the prestigious Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Yobe, outshone more than 20,000 students from 69 countries, including participants from native English-speaking nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

 

Her remarkable performance earned her the top global position in the competition, which is widely regarded as the world’s most rigorous test of communication, critical thinking, and English language proficiency among teenagers.
