Less than a year after, Jasmine Okafor, daughter of popular Nollywood comic actor, John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu, has just announced through her Instagram page that she has ended her marriage over lies.
Truth Live News gathered that Jasmine discovered through her mother in-law that her husband was previously married, though divorced now, with 3 grown kids and kept all this as a secret.
Jasmine made this known to the public as she shared photos of her wedding picture on her Instagram page with inscription, ‘The End’ and gave reasons for her action.
She stated that she would have still married him if he had told her, but for the lie, she can’t forgive as she has already filed for divorce.
She wrote:
“This was the best 9 months of my life, I have no regrets whatever, I just won’t settle for a lie.”
“Finding out from your mum, really broke me.”
“A foundation built upon a tiny lie won’t stand! I love how you loved me but hate how you never mentioned your divorce not kids to me!”
“I just want to love you from a distance.”
