Manchester United head coach and former Ajax manager has confirmed that Manchester United will be bringing in a new striker to the Old Trafford in January transfer to replace Cristiano Ronaldo who will not be returning to Manchester United after crashing out of World Cup in Quarter Finals match vs Morocco.

Following the recent outburst of Cristiano Ronaldo that led to the mutual agreement of contract closure, United are keen on replacing the 37-year-old Portuguese forward and Gonçalo Ramos and Cody Gakpo are tipped to be the favorites for his replacement.

According to Fabrizio Romano, he said, “Erik ten Hag confirms Man United will go for striker in January: “Yes, we want a striker – but only when we find the right player. We do everything in our power”.
Erik has said that they’re conducting a research and looking out for players and they will take decision only when they find the right player for the job.
“We are doing research on every opportunity and we do everything we can”.
Portugal’s Gonçalo Ramos has been tipped to be one of the players on the United manager’s list for the job but, Erik has refused to talk more about it as he gives the excuse of respect of contract for the Portuguese youngster.

Recall that Gonçalo Ramos had put up a World Cup masterclass against Switzerland after netting three goals and an assist to send Portugal to the World Cup Quarter Finals.
Another player on Erik’s list is Netherlands’ Cody Gakpo. The Dutch player has been tipped to be one of the players on the manager’s radar to take the job at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag on Gonçalo Ramos and Cody Gakpo: “Here I will comment on specific players, they have contracts and I respect that”.
“We are doing research on every opportunity and we do everything we can if that opportunity is there to contract them”.
