Nollywood veteran actress, Iretola Doyle, has confirmed that her marriage with veteran actor, Patrick Doyle, is over and also added that it was a wrong choice of marriage.
Ireti said this in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, in his show ‘WithChude’, she said; “we are officially divorced.”
Chude in his introduction talked about how the actress suffered physical and domestic violence as a teen and she supported his claim noting that she ought not to have gotten married the time she did, also, Patrick was a wrong choice.
The actress said:
“The truth of the matter is that I had no business being married at that time talk less of… let’s not even go to the choice of who I got married to.”
Ireti and Patrick Doyle got married in 2004 and have six children together but lost one to sickle cell in 1999. Correcting earlier speculations that she had her first child at 17, the actress said she was 19 when she became a mother.
Recall that in 2017, Ireti moved out of the house after an undisclosed dispute with her husband.
However, two years later, Patrick took to social media to apologise to her and admitted that he was the one who was at fault in their marriage.
Ireti is a writer, actor, producer, and presenter. She produced and presented her own fashion and lifestyle show titled Oge With Iretiola for ten years. She is also a lead character in the Nigerian soap opera, Tinsel.
