Hon Sir Igbas MD Ezehi, the Labour Party candidate for the Federal House of Representatives in the February 25 election has revealed that his agenda for the people of Esan North-East/Esan South-East if elected will be implemented to the letter to ensure that the constituents get actual dividends of democracy.

The former Edo State House of Assembly member in an interview with Truth Live News explained his key point agenda for the people which he tagged ‘EHIS’ (Education, Health, Infrastructure, and  Security) would be his main focus and promised to build on the achievements of the current occupant of the seat, Rt. Hon Sergius Ogun, who many believed has performed creditably well in the last seven and half years.

According to Chief Ezehi, politics has been made too expensive by the major players, so much so that many of them go out of their way to take loans to run their campaigns and once they get into office, they forget about the people and their promises to them and focus on how to recover the money they spent.

He said: “Some politicians over the years have become too desperate, they go out their ways to get funds from anywhere to spend on politics, buying votes and what have you, thereby making the whole process very expensive and once they are elected they dump the people and focus on making money and using projects money for their personal use.

“Mine will not be like that, as I have carefully articulated by agenda, mapped out areas of concentration, and ensure our people get the quality representation they deserve. Through our schedule EHIS, we will ensure that we reintroduce what we used to enjoy or hear while growing up as children in the education sector called Bursary for deserving students.

“You know, Hon Sergius Ogun has really done well in the area of Education for our constituents, but I am going to build on it and take it to the next level and ensure everyone who gets the required scores goes through the university with our assistance.

“In the health sector, you may recall that even as a member of the state house of Assembly, I embarked on an annual free medical outreach for everyone within and around my constituency and it ran for the four years I spent in the house. But this time around, there will be a redoubled effort to tackle it from the perspective of first fixing all the Primary Health Centers in the constituency and ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary medical facilities, as well as doctors and nurses, this I will do in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and other private health institution within and outside Nigeria…….
