Following a surge in insecurity in Ondo State, the state Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, has paraded 58 suspects, including 32 kidnapping suspects arrested within the past week.
The Commander of Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, revealed that the suspects were arrested in areas prone to attacks, and are currently undergoing interrogation.
Adeleye explained that Amotekun Corps mobilized reinforcements from various parts of the state to launch operations into criminal enclaves.
He reassured residents of Ondo State that the government is committed to flushing out criminals from both forests and urban centers.
The arrests come after recent killings in the Akure North axis, which prompted a joint operation by security agencies, including Amotekun, to restore normalcy to the area.
