Akwa United head coach, Kennedy Boboye, has named a 20-man squad for the team’s President Federation Cup Round of 32 match against Mighty Jets Feeders.
The squad includes youngsters Emmanuel Ini, Etiene Asuquo, Paschal Onunze, Tochuwku Samuel, Ibrahim Akande, and Osoba Kabir.
Experienced players such as captain Jean Efala, Endurance Ebedebiri, Uche Sabastine, Seyi Oguntayo, Ubong Essien, and Edidiong Ezekiel have also been included in the squad.
Akwa United is seeking to extend its unbeaten run to seven matches across all competitions when they face Mighty Jets Feeders at the Kogi State University Mini Stadium, Anyigba.
The team has won the President Federation Cup twice in the last 10 years but has not progressed beyond the Round of 32 in the last three editions.
Akwa United eliminated Kebbi United 2-1 in the Round of 64 last month, while Mighty Jets Feeders progressed after a 5-4 penalty shootout win over Imperial FC following a goalless draw.
