Ukraine has launched a series of drone attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, targeting facilities in the regions of Oryol and Voronezh.

The Russian Defence Ministry reported that Ukrainian armed forces carried out four attacks on Russian energy infrastructure facilities within the past 24 hours, leaving approximately 3,000 consumers without electricity in the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

A drone attack on the Vasilyevka electrical substation in the Zaporizhzhia region resulted in about 9,000 people losing power.

“Over the 24 hours, the Ukraine armed forces have carried out four attacks on Russia energy infrastructure,” the ministry said in a statement.

These strikes come in response to a deadly drone attack by the Russian Army, which killed a 45-year-old civilian and injured two others in the southeastern Ukrainian region.
