Edo PDP Hails Lucky Igbinedion on Birthday, Applauds His Enduring Legacy

The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended warm birthday felicitations to former governor of the state and PDP Board of Trustees member, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, praising his unwavering commitment to the party and to the development of Edo State.

In a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of the Edo PDP Caretaker Committee, Chris Osa Nehikhare, the party lauded Chief Igbinedion as a respected statesman whose leadership has fostered growth, unity, and progress across the state and the nation.

“We heartily congratulate the former Governor of Edo State and member of the Board of Trustees of our great party, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, as he marks his birthday,” the statement read.

Nehikhare described Igbinedion as a “pillar of strength” who has consistently offered wise counsel and support to the PDP and the wider Edo community. “As a respected statesman and committed leader, Chief Igbinedion has remained a pillar of strength, offering wise counsel and support and building bridges of partnership that have sustained harmonious living in the State and across the country,” he noted.

The party acknowledged the former governor’s continued role in the political and socio-economic development of Edo State, emphasizing his enduring contributions to the PDP.

“As you mark your birthday, I heartily felicitate with you and wish you many more years in good health and sound mind,” Nehikhare added.

Chief Lucky Igbinedion served as governor of Edo State from 1999 to 2007 and has remained a key figure in the PDP both within the state and at the national level.
