The family of Aladi Offikwu Johnson, the 24-year-old Benue girl brutally murdered in an Abuja hotel, has announced her burial arrangements.

Truth Live News recalls that Aladi was killed on June 15 by a yet-to-be-identified person in a hotel located on 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa.

A wake-keeping ceremony will be held at the family residence in Masaka, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The body of the deceased will depart Abuja on Monday, June 23, for her hometown, Olaidu, Edumoga Ehaje in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State, where she will be laid to rest the same day at her family compound.

Aladi’s death has drawn public outrage and renewed concerns over women’s safety in urban spaces.

She was brought into the hotel by a male friend who was later seen leaving without her.

Hotel staff discovered her unconscious during a routine service check, and she was confirmed dead upon medical evaluation.

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command is still investigating the case but has yet to identify or apprehend the suspect responsible for the crime.

The family has called for speedy justice, urging security agencies to intensify efforts in tracking down the perpetrator.
