Pope Leo XIV has issued a heartfelt appeal for peace and diplomacy in the Middle East, condemning ongoing violence and bloodshed.

He described the situation as “alarming” and urged the international community to denounce violence, emphasizing war’s devastating impact.

The Pope highlighted the urgent need for humanitarian aid in Gaza and other territories, where people’s daily suffering risks being forgotten.

Truth Live News confirms that over 60,000 individuals have lost their lives due to military operations since October 2023.

Pope Leo XIV called on global leaders to prioritize diplomacy over violence, saying “Let diplomacy silence the weapons; let nations shape their future through works of peace, not through violence and bloody conflict.”

He emphasized protecting human dignity and promoting peace.

The Pope further stressed that human dignity is at stake and no conflict is distant when people’s lives are affected.

He said that “War is always a defeat”, reiterating that “nothing is lost with peace, but everything can be lost with war.”

He offered the Vatican’s support in facilitating peace talks, saying, “The Holy See is always ready to help bring enemies together, face-to-face, to talk to one another.”
