Iranian authorities say that at least 610 civilians have been killed and more than 4,700 wounded since hostilities with Israel began on June 13.

The updated figures were released on Tuesday by Health Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour, who described the toll as “devastating,” adding that all of the casualties were civilians.

“Over the past 12 days, hospitals have been confronted with extremely harrowing scenes,” Kermanpour posted on social media platform X.

The ministry said the dead include 13 children, the youngest being a two-month-old baby, along with five medical workers and rescue staff.

Iran also reported that seven hospitals and nine ambulances have been damaged in Israeli strikes since the fighting began.

This is a significant increase from the previous toll of over 400 deaths and around 3,000 injuries, as reported earlier by Iranian officials.

Israel has not yet responded to Iran’s latest claims. The conflict, which began after escalating tensions in the region, has sparked fears of broader instability in the Middle East.
