A yet-to-be-identified man was stabbed to death during a violent clash among youths in the Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
The altercation broke out after a philanthropist visited the area to distribute alms to some destitute individuals, with the money sparking a dispute among some of the youths that quickly escalated into a deadly fight.
The Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed the incident and arrested two suspects in connection with the killing.
Security operatives have cordoned off the area to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
The police spokesperson, SP Sunday Abutu, said the suspects are being held for questioning and that the investigation is ongoing.
