The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has mandated that all candidates who uploaded their O’level results prior to the release of the final 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC SSCE) results must re-upload their results at accredited centres.

This directive aims to ensure the accuracy of candidate data for the 2025/2026 admission cycle into Nigerian tertiary institutions.

According to JAMB’s weekly news bulletin, “some candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with ‘awaiting results’ had prematurely uploaded incomplete WAEC records before the final release.” To address this, JAMB has cleared all previously uploaded results from its system to prevent discrepancies and ensure only official WAEC results are used for admission processing. The board emphasized, “All UTME candidates are advised to urgently re-upload their 2025 SSCE results on the JAMB portal to remain eligible for admission consideration.”

The re-upload process is critical as O’level results are mandatory for verifying candidates’ academic standing before admission lists are forwarded to universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. JAMB has reactivated its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) portal, allowing candidates to comply promptly. A statement on JAMB’s official X account urged, “Dear UTME candidates, this is to notify you that upload of the 2025 WAEC result has been reactivated. Kindly visit any of our accredited facilities near you to access the service. Thank you.”

Candidates are advised to act swiftly to avoid delays in their admission process, with some sources indicating a deadline of August 31, 2025, to complete the upload.
