The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Edo State Council, has described the death of the former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase (rtd) as a great loss to the state and to the country at large.
This was contained in a statement signed by Comrade Prof. Monday Lewis Igbafen, the State’s NLC Caretaker Committee Chairman and made available to Journalists in Benin.
Prof. Igbafen said that he was extremely saddened by the sudden death of Dr. Solomon Arase, describing him as IGP extra-ordinary, refined intelligence Police officer and a reservoir of security strategies and tips.
He said the State NLC condoled with the immediate family of the late former IGP, his numerous friends and associates, Edo State and the nation at large.
Truth Live News Media reports that the former IGP died at the age of 69.
