The President, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor Samuel Oladele has said corruption may not be completely wiped out in Nigeria but reduced to the barest minimum with the intervention of God.

The clergyman who spoke at this year’s pastors conference of the church, held at the Ayo Babalola memorial camp, along Ilesa-Akure express road, said corruption can be reduced in Nigeria if people can seek the face of God and pray fervently.

Speaking on the theme “preparing God’s people for leadership”, Pastor Oladele emphasised that the current leadership of the country is trying to put an end to the current economic hardship in the land through its policies and thereby called on the people to join hands with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the good of the country.

He said the policies introduced by the current administration are aimed at building a solid foundation for the country’s economy, stressing that some of the policies are already yielding good results, considering the current exchange rate of naira to dollar.

Oladele who lamented the attitude of some individuals in the country, said those who are benefiting from the rots of the past governments are not pleased with the reform policies of the current administration.

He said the current economic reform policies are necessary for the country to get out of the menace of economic downturn and move to the next level of economic growth, development and progress.

His words, “corruption may not be completely eradicated in Nigeria, except we are deceiving ourselves. There is corruption in other parts of the world including Europe, America and United kingdom, among other civilised and advanced countries.

“What we need in Nigeria is God’s intervention for corruption to reduce. We need God’s intervention in Nigeria and that is the only way out of our current challenges.

“The Ministers of God including Christian and Islamic clerics should preach against corruption. The leaders and the led should also live above corruption,”

He called for attitudinal and behavioral change among Nigerians, saying that the country will be a better place to live if the people change their attitudes and behaviours.
