Abure: Labour Party Chieftain Faults Alleged Assault On Content Creator, Mama Pee, Seeks Unbiased Police Investigation

A chieftain of Labour Party (LP) in Edo State, Dr. Kingsley Oghogho Okundaye has faulted an alleged assault on a content creator cum social media influencer, Precious Oruche, popularly known as Mama Pee by thugs allegedly linked to a factional national Labour Party chairman, Julius Abure, in Benin.

 

This was contained in a statement personally signed by him and made available to Journalists in Benin.

 

Dr. Okundaye urged Nigerians to embrace political tolerance and reject the culture of violence, warning that no nation can thrive under the shadow of gangsterism.

 

Okundaye said that he has reaffirmed his stance against cruelty and oppression, regardless of the political stature of those involved, and appealed for an apolitical and impartial investigation.

 

Okundaye who is the National Coordinator of Liberal Progressive and Patriotic Members Congress Peace, stressed that freedom of speech is a constitutional right and criticized the use of violence to silence dissent.

 

He called on the Nigeria Police to investigate the incident thoroughly and without bias, stressing that no individual should be allowed to oppress others for political gain.

 

Recall that Oruche said that she was allegedly attacked at the Benin Airport after having an altercation with the factional national chairman of the LP at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja which later extended to the Benin Airport.
