A free medical outreach programme organised by the Uromi Like Minds Initiative (ULMI) has commenced in Ebhoiyi, Uromi, marking the 5th edition of the annual healthcare exercise.
The outreach, which began today at the Ebhoiyi Community Hall located by Idumu-Eigbiremolen/Ukpekimiokolo, will provide free medical check-ups, consultations and free medications to residents across surrounding communities.

Organisers say the programme aims to support individuals who may not have easy access to healthcare and to reduce the burden of preventable illnesses within rural communities in Edo State.
Members of the public have been encouraged to inform relatives and community members living within the area to take advantage of the free services.

The Uromi Like Minds Initiative has carried out similar exercises in previous years, offering support to underserved groups and promoting community healthcare awareness.
The 2025 edition is expected to run for several days with volunteer medical professionals in attendance.
