Again, Tinubu Affirms Nigeria’s Determination To Defeat Terrorism, Strengthen Global Partnerships

Following the stern warning and threat that the United States of America will not folds its hands and watch christians in Nigeria being slaughtered cheaply, thereby declaring it a Country of Particular Concern (CPC), President Bola Tinubu has issued a resolute statement reiterated Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to confronting national security challenges while bolstering its diplomatic presence on the world stage.

Speaking via his verified X handle @officialABAT, the president articulated a firm stance against terrorism, underscoring the collective unity and determination of Nigeria to overcome adversity.

“We face challenges head-on and remain steadfast in our commitment to engage partners and champion Nigeria’s interests on the diplomatic front,” Tinubu said.

He affirmed Nigeria’s confident assertion of its global role, “guided by unwavering calm, clarity, and a strong sense of purpose.”

With nearly two decades of fighting terrorism, the president acknowledged the on-going security threat, but expressed absolute refusal to relent.

“We are indeed faced with terrorism – a challenge Nigeria has faced for almost two decades, and we will not back down.

“We will decisively defeat terrorism and claim victory in this battle. Security is non-negotiable, and we will never compromise on this principle, ” Tinubu boasted.

President Tinubu called on the nation’s strength and legal institutions in the fight against terror: “With unwavering courage and a steadfast commitment to the rule of law, we will prevail.”

Highlighting national unity, the president affirmed, “Nigeria is one united family. We rise together, move forward together, and reject despair in favour of determination. Our future is far more robust and stronger than any fears we may have.”

Acknowledging the significant magnitude of the challenges before the country, he nevertheless stressed that: “The task ahead is immense, yet our resolve is even greater.” He committed to sustaining reforms and delivering “a prosperous and inclusive Nigeria.”

On the security front, President Tinubu vowed: “We will spare no effort and leave no stone unturned in our mission to eliminate criminals from our society.”

He appealed for international solidarity: “We urge our allies to stand firmly with us as we amplify our fight against terrorism. We have made significant progress in the past two years and we will decisively eliminate this threat.”

Reaffirming Nigeria’s role in the global community, he said: “Nigeria will be, and remain, a reliable partner and dependable ally to its friends and a steady voice for stability.”

He welcomed “the collaboration and support of our allies, friends, and partners as we strengthen both security and economic growth.”

In a tribute to the armed forces and intelligence personnel, the president extended gratitude to those who serve and sacrifice, “regardless of tribe or religion, who serve fearlessly, fight side-by-side and sometimes pay the ultimate price.” He said: “Your commitment is our strength in the fight against terror.”
