The Esama Of Benin kingdom, Sir Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion celebrates his 88th birthday today in grand style.
The global icon of repute and legend from Benin in Edo state is an entrepreneur with a conglomerate ranging from education, health care, aviation, agriculture and alot more.
He is the founder of Igbinedion University, Okada Air, Igbinedion Hospitals and many others in Benin city, the Edo state capital and his hometown in Okada.
Esama and his family members are renowned members of the public as his first son, Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion was a two-tenure governor of Edo state, his daughter Omosede was a member of the house of representatives and also the former wife to one of the sons of the Benin royal family, Akenzua.
September 11th is annually celebrated, as the Esama often begins a one-week count down, celebrating from some states in Nigeria and often times, three to four countries, before and after the birthday date.
While celebrating today in his mansion in Benin, dignitaries from all walks of life life the Ooni of Ife, King of Kumasi, the Edo state house of assembly speaker and many others, were in attendance.
