The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State has welcomed over 100 new members from various political parties within the last ten days, signaling growing support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party’s state chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, revealed this during a media interaction in Gusau, stating that ADC is fast becoming a political force in Zamfara as more people join its ranks.
The ADC remains open to individuals and groups seeking to join, with Garba stressing that the party welcomes everyone who believes in its mission.
“In the past ten days, we’ve recorded over 100 new members who joined from different parties,” Garba said, adding that “more defectors are expected in the coming weeks as preparations continue to strengthen the party’s base.”
Garba also hinted at the possibility of Governor Dauda Lawal joining the ADC, stating that he would be welcomed like any other member if he decides to switch.
“If the governor decides to join us, he will be received like any other member,” Garba said, confirming the party’s openness to high-profile defectors.
