The wife of Akwa Ibom state’s governor Pastor Patience Umo Bassey Eno, had revealed how she was received by the Akwabomites in diaspora when she visited the United States of America (USA) for the 2023 Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, (AKISAN) Convention held in San Diego.
Pastor Eno aIso revealed that after AKISAN Conference at San Diego she was privileged to move over to Chicago for the African Women In Leadership Organization (AWLO) Conference.
She made the revelation while fielding questions from Government House Correspondents as she alighted from IbomAir at the Victor Attah International Airport, on her return from an official assignment outside the country.
The first Lady who was acompanied by family members and Aides, said she was glad she went and met with Akwa Ibom people over there.
While she described her experience as quite she said “I had a good time, the AKISAN Conference was good, everyone was happy to see me and they accorded me and members of my delegation, a warm reception.”
“I had to attend two conferences the AKISAN Conference at San Diego and then move over to Chicago for the African Women In Leadership Organization (AWLO) Conference. It was quite an experience,” she said.
According to her, the conference was a celebration of culture and values of Akwa Ibom people in the Diaspora, saying that it provided a platform for cross-fertilization of ideas for the overall benefit of the State.
Commending the airline that flew her into the state for timely service delivery and top notch professionalism exhibited by its staff, pastor Eno also said her IbomAir flight experience was fun and fulfilment.
She said “We have to patronize our own, encourage our own. It was good that I flew IbomAir. The Captain, the Cabin Crew were good.”
She used the opportunity to encouraged Akwa Ibom people to keep patronizing the airline as it offers the best services so far in the country.
