AKWA IBOM, UYO – Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio says his vision for a politically united Akwa Ibom has been fulfilled with Governor Umo Eno’s official movement to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Akpabio made the statement in Uyo during the APC Stakeholders meeting shortly after attending his son’s graduation at St. John Paul II College in the Akwa Ibom capital.

“I told party members that my vision for a politically united Akwa Ibom had been fulfilled with the historic movement of Governor Eno,” Akpabio said in a statement on his verified social media handle.
Describing Governor Eno as “a man of peace and a unifier,” Akpabio commended his decision to join the APC, saying it was a step toward political cohesion in the state.

He urged APC members across Akwa Ibom to support Governor Eno and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in building a more united and prosperous Nigeria.

In a symbolic gesture to cement the Governor’s entry, Akpabio formally handed over the leadership of the party in the state to Governor Eno during the meeting.
Earlier, while addressing graduands at the college event, Akpabio charged them to remain focused, pursue excellence, and uphold moral values as they step into the future.
