NIGERIA, ABUJA – Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio has called on Nigerians to uphold values of faith, obedience, and selflessness during Eid al-Adha.
In a message posted on his official social media handle, Akpabio said, “As we commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son, we are reminded of deep spiritual virtues.”
He encouraged Nigerians to “foster peace, understanding, and cooperation,” emphasizing the role of these values in building a stronger nation.
Acknowledging current national difficulties, Akpabio commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for its economic and fiscal reforms.

“Though difficult, these policies are yielding results and paving the way for a brighter future,” he said.

“Let us use this occasion to promote unity and development,” he added.
Concluding, he said, “On behalf of my family, constituents, the 10th Senate and the National Assembly, I say Eid Mubarak to all Muslims.”
