More political alliies of Former minister of transportation and leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), in Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi, have dumped the APC.
This is as a former commissioner for Information and Communications during his time as Governor, Hon. Tamunoibim Semenitari announced his exit from the party.
In a letter to the APC in Rivers state, Hon. Tamunoibim Semenitari thanked the party for the opportunity to serve.
“I write to resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress with effect from today,” Semenitari wrote.
“i appreciate the friendship, camaraderie and opportunities that this platform has provided me to serve my state, region and country even as I wish the party well. Please be assured of my regards always,” the letter added.
Others, who announced their exits from the APC were Dawari George, Marvin Yobana (former Africa’s representative at the World Youth Assembly), Nkemka Amadi and Robinson Elechi.
Semenitari, former acting managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and others did not however, reveal their new political platforms.
Amaechi, a former governor and leader of the APC in Rivers state has been at loggerhead with Senator Magnus Abe over the structure of the party.
