Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has denied rumors of her retirement from international football after Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title win.
The 30-year-old striker addressed the speculation after the final, saying: “I don’t know where that came from but agenda must agend. I get it, but I’m not bothered. I’m still here. I’m still playing. I’m still doing my job. That’s what I’m focused on.”
Oshoala has had a storied international career, beginning in 2013, and has scored in three consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cups, a feat no other African player has achieved.
She has now won four Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles: 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2024, and has been named African Footballer of the Year six times.
