An auto crash along the Bauchi-Darazo expressway in Bauchi State has claimed the life of least 14 persons while five others were critically injured earlier today, Thursday.
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) confirmed this through the state’s Sector Commander, Yusuf Abdullahi in a Road Traffic Crash (RTC) report.
He noted that the accident which involved a commercial Golf G Wagon and a Chevrolet car around 12:17 PM on Thursday was caused by Speed Limit Violations (SPV) by the drivers.
Truth Live News learnt that the accident victims were taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) where the injured victims were giving medical attention and the dead bodies deposited at the Teaching Hospital morgue.
The report read: “The accident was caused by speed limit violation (SPV) by the drivers.
Items recovered from the scene of the crash include the sum of N73,000.00, seven phones; one Power Bank and four small handbags.
The injured victims and the dead bodies were taken to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, for medical attention and confirmation after which the dead bodies were deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.”
