The Ministry of Works has announced significant progress on the ongoing reconstruction of Ugbor Street and environs, including Legemah and Adesuwa Streets, off Ben Omo Road, Oredo Local Government Area, Benin City.

In a statement made available to Truth Live News, the Ministry revealed that the project, being executed by Gladtrico International Limited, has reached an advanced stage.

According to the Ministry, the project has involved:

– Scarification of failed asphalt portions
– Earthworks
– Provision of stone base
– Installation of drains and toe beams
– Completion of rigid and flexible overlay

Commissioner for Roads and Bridges, Hon. Ethan Uzamere, has been commended by residents of the area for his tireless efforts in ensuring the project’s success.

The Commissioner noted that Governor Obaseki is ensuring he fulfils all his promises to the people of Edo State before leaving office. “He’s working hard to complete ongoing projects and initiate new ones that will benefit the community.
One of his desires is to ensure his good works continue through Asue Ighodalo, who he believes is the right person to take over and continue his legacy”.

“The project, on completion, will not only improve the lives of residents but also enhance the aesthetic appeal of our beloved Benin City,” the Ministry stated.

The reconstruction project is expected to boost economic activities, improve transportation, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents in the area.
