The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Thursday reserved judgment in the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, challenging the declaration of Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the September 21, 2024, Edo State governorship election.
Truth Live News confirmed that the three-man panel reserved judgment after arguments from all parties involved. While no date was fixed for the ruling, the court assured that judgment would be delivered within the constitutional timeframe.
Dr. Ighodalo and the PDP are contending that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) erred in declaring Senator Okpebholo the winner of the hotly contested poll, citing widespread irregularities, alleged vote suppression, and non-compliance with the Electoral Act.
