A Federal High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory has issued a restraining order on the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Julius Abure from parading himself as National Chairman of the party and three other party officers including the Party’s National Secretary.
Included in the restraining order was the Labour Party National Secretary, Farouk Ibrahim, National Organizing Secretary, Mr. Clement Ojukwu and the Party’s National Treasurer.
According to the Frontier, the presiding Judged, Justice Hamza Muazu issued the restraining order while ruling in ex-parte application argued by one James Onoja.
Onoja told the court in the application how the restrained National Officers of the Labour Party forged series of documents of the FCT High Court to perform illegal substitutions in the just concluded February 2023 general elections.
Some of the documents entail receipts, seal and affidavits of the Court to perform criminal activities.
Confirming to the Judge, the Senior Counsel also presented several documents that the Chief Registrar of the court wrote the Labour Party to disown the several documents used for the alleged criminal activities by the National Party Officers.
Onoja added that the four larty officers would be arraigned in court asarrest warrant had been obtained following their indictment by the police investigation.
In a brief ruling, Justice Muazu held that the application and the supporting affidavits are a good case for the request granted.
The Judge ruled that the four national party officers should be restrained immediately to stop parading themselves as National Officers of the Labour Party.
