Long-serving Executive Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, Daniel Levy has stepped down from his role with immediate effect.
The announcement, confirmed on Thursday, ends Levy’s over two-decade-long tenure at the North London club, where he has been both a pivotal and polarizing figure. Known for his sharp business acumen, meticulous negotiations, and hands-on approach to management, Levy transformed Spurs into a global brand but often faced criticism from sections of the fan base for a perceived lack of ambition in the transfer market.
During his stewardship, Tottenham moved into their state-of-the-art stadium in 2019, a landmark project often described as his defining legacy. However, despite financial growth and regular European competition appearances, Levy’s reign was marred by the elusive quest for silverware, with Spurs winning just two major trophies, the League Cup in 2008 and the Europa League in 2025 under his watch.
