Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina with the body and family members of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Vice President was in London, where he was directed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to accompany the former President’s remains back to Nigeria.
Former President Buhari, who died on Sunday in London, will be buried today (Tuesday) at his home in Daura, Katsina State.
Vice President Shettima’s delegation included Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Zulum, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and Deputy Chief of Staff to the President Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, who worked to ensure the dignified repatriation of the late former President.
