Yevgeny Prigozhin was reportedly among the ten fatalities in a private aeroplane crash north of Moscow, according to the Russian Civil Aviation Authority.

According to the TASS news agency, the Embraer aircraft carrying seven passengers and three crew members was travelling from Moscow to St. Petersburg.

According to reports, the plane went down in the Tver region, north of Moscow.

There are other videos on social media that seem to show the jet crashing.

“An investigation has been launched into the Embraer plane crash that occurred tonight in the Tver region. According to the passenger list, among them is the name and surname of Yevgeny Prigozhin,” Rosaviatsia said.

Unverified media claims claim Prigozhin owned the business jet.

Alexander Lukashenko, the president of Belarus, intervened to mediate a settlement, which put an end to the uprising.

Last seen yesterday in a video that looked to have been shot in Africa, Prigozhin.

Following his march on Moscow, the 62-year-old Wagner Group chief, who was transported to Belarus, posted video of himself speaking while clad in camouflage and clutching a gun.

Prigozhin, who was once a close friend of Vladimir Putin, frequently criticised public figures like defence minister Sergei Shoigu and top general Valery Gerasimov for how they handled the invasion of Ukraine.
