Football transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Nigeria-eligible striker Emanuel Emegha will not be joining Chelsea this summer.
Romano pointed out Chelsea are looking at signing Emegha but would allow him to stay at the French Ligue 1 club until the summer of 2026.
Strasbourg would expect Emegha to help them in next season’s UEFA Conference League playoff round.
Emegha scored 14 goals and provided three assists in 27 outings in the French top-flight this season.
The 22-year-old is behind Ousmane Dembele, Mason Greenwood, Arnaud Kalimuendo, Jonathan David, and Alexandre Lacazette in the goal chart of the recently concluded season.
Before joining Strasbourg in 2023, Emegha had spells at KRSV Vredenburch, Sparta Rotterdam, Royal Antwerp, and Sturm Graz.
