C’River Federal Lawmaker Egbona Vows To Fund Nko Unity Projects, With Next Year’s Budget

NKO, CROSS RIVER– Member of the House of Representatives, Alex Egbona, representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency, has pledged infrastructure support for Nko community during the inauguration of a pavilion built by the Nigerian Army in honor of Maj. Gen. Frank Etim.

Speaking at the event in Yakurr Local Government Area, Egbona committed to financing the maintenance of the Nko Unity Square.

He also announced plans to install 20 solar streetlights to improve nighttime illumination in the area.

“I am committed to the development of Nko. In addition to the streetlights and maintenance of the Unity Square, I will ensure that a solar-powered borehole is provided for the community under next year’s budget,” Egbona stated in a post on his official social media handle.

The pavilion, constructed by the Nigerian Army, honors Maj. Gen. Frank Etim, a distinguished military officer from the community.

The event drew dignitaries, local leaders, and military personnel, highlighting the significance of the project for the people of Nko.

Residents and community leaders welcomed Egbona’s promises, emphasizing the impact of these projects on local development. One community elder expressed appreciation, stating, “These initiatives will greatly enhance the living conditions in Nko.”

Egbona reaffirmed his dedication to improving infrastructure and welfare in his constituency, assuring residents that the pledged projects would be executed as planned.
