NIGERIA, CALABAR – The Cross River State Government has opened the 2026 examination registration portal for all public and private schools across the state.
The Commissioner for Education, Sen. Professor Stephen A. Odey, approved the portal’s opening to give schools ample time for registration and error-free submissions.
According to a circular from the Education Resource Centre (ERC), Calabar, dated October 21, 2025, the registration covers the Primary Six Placement, JS3 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), and SS2 Mock Examinations.
The portal, available at https://education.crossriverstate.gov.ng, will remain open from November 3, 2025, to January 30, 2026, allowing school heads to process all entries online.
“All public and private schools with duly approved examination centers are expected to complete registration within the given period,” the circular stated.
It added that after submitting students’ bio-data forms, school heads should obtain their validation lists from Education Secretaries of their respective local government areas.
“This process will aid error-free registration and allow necessary corrections before score sheets are produced,” the statement read.

The approved payment structure includes ₦2,000 for Placement Examination, ₦3,000 for BECE, ₦3,500 for Mock, and ₦850 for online registration levy.
The directive further stated that school heads should review student validation lists two weeks after submission to ensure proper data verification and prevent examination errors.
Amaku also urged Chief Supervising Directors (CSDs), Education Secretaries (ESs), and School Heads to treat the circular as vital and follow all outlined procedures carefully.
“The Ministry will continue to guide schools on modalities of registration when necessary,” the statement concluded.
