The new Edo State Commissioner for Environment and Sustainability, Barr. Nosa Adams, has resumed at the Ministry, with a vow to promote a healthy, peaceful, and sustainable environment.
He advocated stakeholder engagements and awareness on practical steps for environmental sustainability.
The Commissioner was received by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Jude Ekpu, and other management staff,
He stated that his approach to delivering on Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration mandate would be collaborative, transparent, and evidence-based.
Adams noted: “Today marks the beginning of a renewed environmental vision for our dear State, a vision anchored on sustainability, responsibility, and shared prosperity.
”Edo State is richly blessed with fertile land, vast forests, rivers, and diverse ecosystems.
”Our mission is clear — to protect, restore, and sustainably manage Edo’s natural environment for present and future generations,” he added.
He thanked the Edo State governor for finding him worthy of appointment and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Jude Ekpu, who spoke on behalf of the staff, pledged support for the Commissioner’s vision for a clean and sustainable environment in Edo State.
