Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai,

Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, has expressed his deep concerns over the state of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a recent interview on Arise TV, duly monitored by Truth Live News, El-Rufai revealed that the APC has abandoned its founding principles and values.

El-Rufai, who was one of the founding members of the APC, stated that the party has moved away from its core values and principles.

He criticized the party’s failure to uphold internal democracy, citing the lack of meetings by key decision-making bodies such as the National Caucus and the National Executive Committee (NEC) over the past two years.

El-Rufai, despite his concerns, noted that he will not retire from politics, instead, he plans to remain active and influence the party’s direction to ensure better candidates and governors.

However, he did not rule out the possibility of seeking another political platform if the APC fails to realign with its founding ideals.

El-Rufai’s comments come as the APC prepares to hold a National Caucus and NEC meeting, where he expects the leadership to reflect on why the party has deviated from its core principles.
