The leaders of Britain, France, and Germany have jointly called on Iran to return to the negotiating table following overnight US airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.

The European powers emphasized the importance of diplomacy and urged Iran to engage in renewed negotiations aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement addressing all concerns related to its nuclear program.

The leaders stressed that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon and can no longer pose a threat to regional security.

“We have consistently been clear that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon and can no longer pose a threat to regional security,” the statement read.

The joint appeal comes amid rising fears of wider regional conflict following the US decision to join Israel’s campaign against Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure.

The European leaders urged Tehran to avoid further actions that could escalate tensions in the region.

The statement brings to fore the ongoing concerns about Iran’s nuclear program and the need for a diplomatic solution to address the issue.

The leaders’ call for renewed negotiations is a step towards the reduction of tensions and prevent further escalation in the region.
