All appear not to be well with Edo State Football Association after its chairman, Comrade Rolland Abu disassociated himself from a recent memo from his secretary calling for meeting.
Comrade Abu says that he gave no approval for such call or meeting.
“It has come to my notice that there is a purported circular calling for a meeting by the secretary without the consent and approval of the Chairman”.
“In consonant with the Edo State Football Statutes and of the Nff the powers to call/ convey any meeting of the FA resides with the Chairman not with the secretary”.
“Consequently that purported invitation for a meeting is without authority and approval and due process was not complied and it is of no effect.The Board members of Edo State FA and Stakeholders should dìsregard it.”
He noted that the Edo FA election is billed to hold April 19th.
