The Federal Capital Territory Water Board has announced a two-week disruption of water supply services in the territory due to ongoing rehabilitation work at the Lower Usuma Dam water treatment plants.

The rehabilitation work aims to connect electro-mechanical equipment, a major component of the project, which will enhance the treatment plants’ functionality.

The disruption will affect both the city centre and outskirts, commencing on Friday, May 30, and running until Friday, June 13.

The FCT Water Board has appealed to residents to store water that will last them for the duration and consider alternative supply options to meet their needs during this period.

The board regrets any inconvenience this development may cause residents and appreciates their understanding as they work to improve the water supply system.
