The Nigerian government has commenced payment of N35,000 wage award arrears to federal government workers, with many employees confirming receipt of the payment.
The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) announced that the disbursement would be done in installments of N35,000 for five months.
Accountant General of the Federation, Mr. Babatunde Ogunjimi, clarified that the N35,000 wage award was not excluded from the N54.99 trillion 2025 budget, assuring that outstanding arrears would be paid as promised by the government.
