The burial ceremony of Alhaji Aminu Dantata has been rescheduled to Tuesday in Medina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The shift in burial date was necessitated by the late arrival of his body to the City of Medina, according to the Minister of Information, Muhammad Idris.
The Minister explained that the Saudi Arabian Government has rules and regulations for receiving corpses from outside the country, and the arrangements are being aligned with those regulations.
The Kano and Jigawa State Governors, along with the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, and former Governor of Jigawa State, Ali Saad Birnin Kudu, are already in Medina for the burial.
The Minister assured that all necessary legal requirements would be completed by Tuesday, after which Dantata would be buried the same day.
