Former Rivers State Head of Service, George Nwaeke, has denied reports that he was kidnapped and forced to address the press.
Nwaeke insisted that he was in Abuja to report himself and events in Rivers State to security agencies.
He made this clarification after his wife declared him missing and suggested that he might have been kidnapped and forced to make damning claims against Governor Sim Fubara.
A video surfaced showing Nwaeke claiming to have lodged at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, where he intends to visit all the headquarters of security agencies to report issues in Rivers State.
Nwaeke stated that he resigned as Head of Service on Monday due to the ongoing issues in the state and that his wife is unaware of the events that transpired in his office.
He clarified that he is safe and fine in Abuja and plans to report himself to security agencies the following morning.
