The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, along with the Governors of Rivers State, Simi Fubara, and Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, jointly urged foreign investors to consider their respective regions when selecting locations for their companies in Nigeria.
Addressing attendees during the opening of Hypercity 3, a chain store in Nigeria, in Port Harcourt, the trio emphasized the crucial role of the private sector in job creation, acknowledging that the government alone cannot address the employment needs of the country’s youth.
Minister Wike pledged to offer lands and create a conducive environment for investors in the Federal Capital Territory, emphasizing the potential contributions to the development of the nation’s capital.
Governor Wike expressed gratitude for the progress made by the management of Hypercity, noting, “As a government, our duty is to provide a conducive environment. You promised to build four. Within one year, you’ve built three. You’ve provided employment for our people.”
