NIGERIA, ABUJA – The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media to the President, Temitope Ajayi, has said reports of President Bola Tinubu’s plan to travel to the US to resolve the growing tension between both countries on alleged mass killing of christians are not true.
Recall that an online publication had claimed that following the threat made by President Donald Trump to send in forces into Nigeria to fight terrorists, President Tinubu would be heading to the US to speak with the Vice President, JD Vance.
However, Ajayi debunked the claims on his X handle on Monday, saying: “There is a Sahara Reporters story that President Tinubu is going to the US on Tuesday to see US Vice President J.D. Vance. That story is not true.

“I can see that the fake news by Sahara has become the basis for some uninformed commentaries since yesterday. If President Tinubu is going to the White House, he won’t be going to see a Vice President.”
