CENTUS NWEZE Reporting
Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State and candidate of the All Progressive Gongress (APC) in yesterday’s election is leading his opponent from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mohammed Jibrin Barde, with 124,949 votes to Barde’s 101,443 votes.
The results which was presented to the INEC collation centre Sunday afternoon by the six Local Government Returning Officers was done under the watch of the State Returning Officer, Prof Maimuna waziri.
The results released from six out of the eleven LGA’s are for Kaltungo, Dukku, Balanga, Nafada, Billiri and Shongom where Inuwa recorded sweeping victory in Dukku, Balanga, Nafada and Shongom LGA’s.
The PDP are however leading in Kaltungo and Billiri LGA’s.
