In spite of the ongoing indefinite strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the Gombe State University management has called on all 100 level students of its institution to resume latest Monday, 22 August 2022.
This was disclosed in a statement released to newsmen by the Deputy Registrar of the institution Musa Sarki on Thursday.
Part of the statement reads: Consequent upon consultations held among the various stakeholders in the university, it was resolved to allow 100 level students to report back on Monday, August 22, 2022.
According to the institution, the decision was the students complete their registration processes, matriculate and complete the first semester, 2021/2022 academic session.
All the 100 level students were thus urged to report to their respective departments on Monday.
The Chairman of ASUU Gombe state university chapter, Dr. Suleiman Jauro when contacted said the Association would only decide on its next line of action after a meeting on Friday.
His words: “I will only speak after a meeting of the union . Thank you.”
