UYO, NIGERIA – Governor Umo Bassey Eno of Akwa Ibom State has begun a statewide rollout of development projects to mark his administration’s second anniversary.

Speaking at the commissioning of a model health centre in Urue Offong/Oruko, Eno said the projects reflect his commitment to grassroots development.

“We are taking governance to the people’s doorsteps,” he said during the May 21 ceremony, according to a press release from the Ministry of Information.

The anniversary celebration, themed “Two Years of Spectacular Performance,” features road construction, schools, health centres, and infrastructure expansion across 31 LGAs.

On May 22, Eno will commission a reconstructed 10.4km road connecting Abak and Uyo.

The Ministry confirmed over 30 projects are scheduled between May 17 and June 30, with children’s events, thanksgiving, and political meetings included.

During the Uyo event, Prince Enobong Uwah, Secretary to the State Government, said the anniversary reflects “a people-centred administration focused on development.”
