KADUNA – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has inaugurated a 300-bed specialist hospital at Millennium City, Kaduna State, named in his honour as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Specialist Hospital.
At the inauguration on Thursday, Governor Uba Sani revealed that the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority had approved a cancer and nuclear treatment centre within the hospital complex.
“But we cannot deliver this centre without federal support. That’s the only part missing,” Sani said, requesting Tinubu’s intervention to complete the healthcare project.

Tinubu, in response, assured the state of federal collaboration, describing the project as a testament to responsible leadership.
“You prioritize people. Only a far-sighted leader who cares can deliver this,” Tinubu said. “Our intervention is not in vain—we will grant your request.”

President Tinubu’s visit to Kaduna also included commissioning other developmental projects by the state government.
He was received by prominent figures, including House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.
Also present were Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara).
According to The Cable report, the hospital is positioned to reduce outbound medical tourism and expand access to advanced care in northern Nigeria.
